I made apricot jam, quince jelly and cured black and green olives from the production on this farm in 2011. This finca is situated about 15 minutes from the city of San Rafael, a lovely tourist destination and agricultural town known for fine wine and orchards, and located in the province of Mendoza in western Argentina. In June of 2011, CNN Money rated San Rafael as one of the Top 5 Retirement Destinations in the world, although the area still remains fairly undiscovered outside of Argentina.
The farm is also situated about a mile from Salto de Las Rosas, where they hold the annual rodeo and where there are gasoline stations, pharmacies, supermarkets, hardware stores, etc. It borders a paved road which is on the bus route with service to town several times a day, yet is still quiet and peaceful and without much traffic.
Other advantages to this farm is that there is city water along the road, electric service (with 3 phase available) and street lighting.

This farm is served by a good and ample flow of irrigation water, with water rights attached to the deed. There is also an irrigation well, with an 8-inch pipe, which would cost at least US$25,000 to drill. This well is not currently being used at the moment because the canal irrigation serving the farm is sufficient. Although the deed lists the property at 15 hectares (37 acres), the last survey says the property is actually closer to 40 acres. The property is fenced and bordered by a fruit farm on one side, and empty land on the other. There is a steel gate at the entrance.
